In light of the upcoming holiday, (Halloween if you forgot,) I came across these interesting photographs done by a  man William Hope beginning in 1905. His claims were that he was able to actually photograph ghostly apparitions with his camera. He would then make profit off these images by selling them to the deceased’s remaining family members.  (Sounds like a good idea to me.) Eventually all was found out to be (obvious) forgeries. But at the time when photography was new, and photoshop wasn't even a twinkle, these were all very real to believers of an after life. Even after Hope was found to be a fraud there were many admirers who still stood by his side in an effort to clear his name. Who knows, maybe they are real after all.
